The Merry Harriers garden centre just outside Bideford does a delicious dog-friendly cream tea with various scone and jam flavours. Sit outside in the pretty garden by the relaxing pond and enjoy either a plain or fruit scone, or the orange scone with cranberry and cinnamon compote and clotted cream.

Down one of pretty Appledore’s historic side-streets is dog-friendly Market Street Kitchen, not only a brilliant cafe for crab sandwiches, but they also serve a fantastic Devonshire cream tea.
